Apple lists exact power adapters needed for iPhone Duo speed

Apple has published support documentation specifying the hardware required to achieve maximum charging speeds on the iPhone Duo. The company states that the phone supports fast charging over both wired and wireless connections, but peak performance depends on specific accessories.
The iPhone Duo launched with support for rapid power delivery. Apple initially confirmed the device could charge quickly but did not immediately detail the necessary adapter specifications. The company released its official guidance on October 23, outlining the exact requirements for users who want to reach the fastest possible battery levels.
For wired charging, Apple says the phone can reach 50 percent battery in approximately 20 minutes. This speed requires the USB-C cable included in the box paired with a compatible power adapter. Apple lists its own 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max as one option, priced at $34. Third-party adapters are also acceptable if they are rated for 60W or more. Such chargers must use Adjustable Voltage Supply and support USB Power Delivery 3.2. Wireless charging is slower, with the device reaching 50 percent in about 30 minutes. Users need a MagSafe Charger, listed at $30, or an adapter rated at 35W or higher. Apple points to compatible devices from Apple and Anker for this purpose.
The support page notes that the included cable offers a standard length, while Apple's official 2-meter USB-C cable is available at a discount for those needing more reach. 9to5Mac staff noted that third-party options often provide better value than first-party adapters. The outlet highlighted Anker's 100W charging brick as a top pick for users who also power Macs and iPads. The writer added that Apple's 40W adapter remains a good choice for those preferring a first-party option at its reduced price.
