Iranian officials confirmed on October 25 that their government continues exchanging messages with the United States through intermediaries. The announcement comes as formal negotiations remain stalled. Tehran has rejected Washington’s specific demand for a complete surrender, keeping diplomatic channels open only at the indirect level.

President Donald Trump stated that the United States would not launch an attack against Iran on that day. In Jerusalem, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning regarding regional stability. He noted that Iran or its allied forces could carry out strikes ahead of upcoming Israeli elections.

Military activity expanded across the Gulf region. Saudi Arabia intercepted missiles and drones launched by Houthi forces from Yemen. Debris from the interceptions fell on the ground and injured two people, according to local reports.

In Gaza, Palestinian hospital officials reported that Israeli strikes killed seven individuals. These casualties occurred despite an existing ceasefire agreement. The International Committee of the Red Cross confirmed that Israel resumed providing lists of Palestinian detainees. However, the organization noted that prison visits remain suspended for the time being.

Pope Leo XIV called for an end to the fighting in Yemen. Civilians in that region continue to face serious shortages of essential supplies while the conflict persists.
