Vanessa Trump, 48, announced on Friday that she is no longer battling breast cancer. The former wife of Donald Trump Jr. shared the update in a brief video posted to the Instagram account of her 19-year-old daughter, Kai. In the clip, Trump stated that her recent test results came back clear, confirming she is finally cancer-free. She has five children with Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump.

Kai Trump noted in the caption that the video serves as a preview for a longer release scheduled for Saturday on YouTube. The extended segment will feature a discussion between mother and daughter regarding breast cancer awareness and prevention strategies. Kai explained that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a period dedicated to promoting early detection and supporting those affected by the disease. She added that she interviewed her mother and Dr. Nicole Saphier to discuss the journey and learn more about prevention.

Vanessa Trump revealed in the video that she was first diagnosed in April. She made the diagnosis public in May, writing on social media that she had undergone surgery and was developing a treatment plan with her medical team. The social media post attracted more than 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments from followers offering support. American singer and media personality Mary Millben was among those who left messages of good wishes.

Trump separated from Trump Jr. in 2018. Last year, she announced that she had begun dating professional golfer Tiger Woods. Her recent health update aligns with national statistics provided by the American Cancer Society. The organization reports that the average risk of a woman in the US developing breast cancer is approximately 1 in 8, or 13%. The disease accounts for 30% of all new female cancers diagnosed each year.

Medical data indicates that surgery cures most cases of breast cancer. When some disease remains, treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and endocrine therapy can lower the long-term risk. The American Cancer Society notes that treatment continues to advance. These advancements include more targeted therapies for early breast cancer, new types of hormonal therapy, and more precise and effective radiotherapy options.
