Ophir Falk, foreign policy adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, issued a direct challenge to Israeli voters. He stated that the election on Tuesday, October 27, determines who leads the country during the final two years of Donald Trump’s presidency. Falk argued that the choice hinges on which leader can best coordinate with Washington to remove Iran’s government.

In written remarks to The Jerusalem Post, Falk declared that removing what he called the genocidal Ayatollah regime serves the interests of America, Israel, and civilization. He identified the Trump-Netanyahu pairing as the team suited to accomplish this task. The adviser framed the vote as a decision on partnership rather than a general policy debate. He asked voters to consider who will best cooperate with the President to finish the work in Iran and expand regional peace.

Trump reinforced this message on Sunday evening. The US president posted on Truth Social urging Israelis to support Netanyahu. He wrote, "Vote for Bibi Netanyahu for Prime Minister; we have to finish the job that we started!" Falk used this endorsement to contrast the US position with the goals of Israel’s regional adversaries. He noted that Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran all prefer Netanyahu to lose the election.

Falk described the current strategic environment as favorable for the alliance. He stated that Israel and the American-Israeli partnership have never been stronger. Conversely, he said Iran and its proxies have never been weaker. This assessment aligns with comments he made in an interview with The Jerusalem Post on October 15. During that conversation, he said Israel was very close to creating the conditions for regime change in Iran.

Despite the strong rhetoric, Falk did not provide a specific plan for how the two nations would execute the removal of Iran’s leadership. His written comments lacked a detailed timetable or a step-by-step strategy. In his earlier interview, he emphasized that the final decision remains with the Iranian people. He stated that regime change in Iran is up to the Iranian people themselves.

The election takes place on Tuesday, October 27. Falk’s remarks position the campaign around a binary choice: continue the current alliance or select a leader who may offer less coordination with Trump. He left the mechanics of the transition unspecified, focusing instead on the perceived strength of the current team.
