The high school football regular season in Minnesota's Class 6A division ended Friday night with a mix of expected upsets and dramatic final moments across the state. For fans in the east metro, the season concluded with Roseville securing a subdistrict crown and a last-second field goal shaking up the south metro standings.

Roseville Raiders defeated Coon Rapids 24-14 to claim the Metro Maroon title. The win improved their record to 4-4, marking their best regular season performance since 2017. Senior quarterback Chase Browning led the offense with 162 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Browning described the victory as an amazing feeling, noting that the team had worked hard all year to reach this point.

Other results in the region shifted the playoff picture for several teams. Centennial beat Anoka 38-6, a performance that likely guarantees the Cougars a No. 3 seed in the upcoming postseason. Anoka was held to just six points for the first time this season. In the Metro East, Mounds View defeated White Bear Lake 22-16 to take sole possession of the subdistrict title. Quarterback Tanner Jude scored on a one-yard run with 65 seconds left, and a subsequent two-point conversion extended the lead to six. Preston Johnson intercepted a pass on the next drive to end the game. The Mounds View defense limited White Bear Lake quarterback Wyatt Stachowiak to six completions on 24 attempts.

East Ridge beat Woodbury 42-31, capping a difficult campaign with a win over a rival. Logan Tretter ran for two touchdowns, while Elias Mather returned an interception for a late score. Forest Lake running back Mack Jurkovich posted a career-best game with 245 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 31-13 win over Stillwater. The victory secured a No. 2 seed for the Rangers. Jurkovich, a committed St. Thomas recruit, finished the regular season with 1,600 rushing yards.

In the south metro, Lakeville South upset Rosemount 17-14 on a 36-yard field goal with one second left on the clock. Sophomore kicker Dylan Nelson made the kick to give the Cougars the win. The result complicates the seeding landscape for the Class 6A playoffs in that region.

Park junior receiver Manny Vargas contributed to his team's 18-10 win over Eastview with two scores. He caught a touchdown pass and returned a punt 75 yards for another score. These results conclude the regular season schedule for all Class 6A teams in the state.
