The Milwaukee Brewers hold a commanding lead in the 2026 World Series following a 10-1 rout of the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday. Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday, with the series outcome now hinging on the performance of two teams in starkly different states.

SportsLine expert Micah Roberts backs the Brewers to win the series. He noted that Milwaukee is playing with high energy while the Rays appear demoralized. Roberts described the Rays as playing like their grandmother had just died. He pointed to the grueling hour and a half of Game 3, when Tampa Bay trailed by ten runs, as a major psychological blow.

Roberts expects the Rays to score at least one run in the next game. However, he believes the Brewers will secure the championship if they maintain their current level of play. The betting odds reflect this disparity, with Milwaukee listed at -125 to win the game.

The same SportsLine team is turning its attention to the NBA. The New York Knicks host the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. The Knicks are 0-3 in the 2026-27 season. They rank last in the league in scoring at 101.7 points per game. They also rank 29th of 30 teams in overall shooting percentage at 40.8%.

The Pistons provide a defensive challenge. Detroit ranks fifth in scoring defense, allowing 105.7 points per game. Last season, the Pistons had the third-best scoring defense in the NBA. The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times. The model projects the under 218.5 total points to hit in 58.2% of those simulations.

The model has a strong recent record. It is 26-10 on top-rated spread picks at NBA betting sites since last season. Since 2018, the model has returned nearly $19,000 in profit for $100 players on its top-rated NBA picks. It has produced four-digit profit in five straight seasons.

SportsLine NFL expert R.J. White offers a pick for Sunday's Week 9 game. He suggests the Baltimore Ravens cover as 3.5-point underdogs against the Buffalo Bills. White noted that the Bills have surrendered 29 or more points to every team except the winless Los Angeles Chargers. He expects the return of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry to test Buffalo's defense.

White observed that the Bills' last three games were decided by three points or fewer. He sees this matchup as a back-and-forth affair where one team wins by three or four points. The initial line listed the Bills at -3. White prefers taking the Ravens at the current +3.5 line.
